In the fast-paced and ever-changing financial sector environment, simply completing tasks is no longer enough — success now requires proactive planning and innovative thinking working together. This program offers students and graduates entering the financial sector a practical methodology that enables them to master the fundamentals of effective planning and embed innovation at every stage of the process to achieve sustainable organizational results. Day One establishes a clear understanding of the difference between traditional and innovative planning, their respective pillars, and the modern trends shaping the planning process in financial institutions today. It then moves into the fundamental stages of planning, its three levels (strategic, tactical, and operational), and how to craft smart objectives using the SMART methodology, reinforced by a practical exercise in building a real plan. Day Two covers three dimensions: how to measure plan efficiency, monitor and evaluate execution, and manage change to maintain planning momentum in the face of variables; followed by a module on embedding innovation into planning using practical tools such as SWOT analysis, brainstorming, and design thinking with real-world examples from the Saudi financial sector; and concludes with the personal skills required by an innovative planner and how to build a supportive innovative environment within the team.
