The Society of Actuaries (SOA) and the Financial Academy (FA) collaborate to bring you actuarial developments and events. Join us for an afternoon of growth, learning, connections and fun at Candidate Connect on Saturday, November 18. We will begin the event with a welcome followed by presentations from local actuaries who will share their actuarial journeys, including their experiences as candidates. Bring your questions! We will conclude with a get-to-know-everyone activity where you can relax and meet other candidates in the region, actuaries, the employer, SOA leadership, and much more. This Candidate Connect event is designed for college students and SOA candidates. You'll learn about the actuary's profession, get study tips and exam-taking tips, and hear from a panel of actuaries about their roles, job search tips, and more.
